Episode 13 Blueberry MuffinHello, and welcome to the Greenstone podcast. I'm Jason Sirotin, and I'm here with Mr. [Genetics 00:00:07] and Gary. Guys, how you doing?
Gary:
Doing well.
Mr. Genetics:
I'm good. Thanks.
Jason Sirotin:
So let's jump in here. Today, we're talking about a strain that just came in, and we're going to be growing it, and it's called Blueberry Muffins. Mr. Genetics, take us through what Blueberry Muffins is.
Mr. Genetics:
Right on. So Blueberry Muffins probably has one of the best, if not the best, terpene profile of our entire library. It's not hard to get right now, as some of the seeds are still available to the public, but it's such a special and unique cut that it qualifies for our venue regardless. It was created by a Humboldt Seed Company, and what a lot of people don't know is that Humboldt Seed was created by three biologists all the way back in 2001 in Humboldt County, and they actually started breeding for medical patients. So they've been doing this for almost 20 years, creating genetics, and they've only released their main line just a couple of years ago. And Blueberry Muffins was a part of that main line, and it just really started to gain traction in the community and show itself as a showstopper and unique from the other strains.
Mr. Genetics:
It's going to have a really nice, big colas that look like huge triangles when they grow in together. It's one of the strains we have that doesn't necessarily have extremely rock, hard buds, but it's not dense. It's not ... Excuse me, it's not wide and [inaudible 00:01:35] either. It's somewhere in between. But really the profile of terpenes in this plant is what makes it special. Humboldt did kind of the impossible and took the old school Blueberry cut, that goes all the way back to DJ Short, and used it as a cross with their in-house Razzleberry strain and another strain they like, called the Purple Panty Dropper, and all three strains have really nice raspberry and blueberry and fruit tones. So the pheno that we have at Greenstone is the classic strain that does its name proud. It really does smell like fresh blueberry muffins, and it also has a [inaudible 00:02:13] that fades out to a beautiful white, yellow, and purple rainbow color with nice, frosty trichome-covered purple buds, and it's just great.
Jason Sirotin:
Oh, that sounds so good. Gary, have you had this one?
Gary:
I haven't. I'm most excited about the terpene profiles. You know, a lot of emphasis, I feel like these days, on how high your THC is, but people forget that terpenes play a huge role. It's not the main role and how it affects you. So the terpene profiles of the Blueberry Muffin is one I'm most excited about and just the beauty of the planet itself.
Yeah. I love a pretty plant that smells good. I don't care about ... You know, you can always ingest or smoke more if you want more, like the THC profile, sometimes, is not a big deal for me. I've had stuff with eight in it that I'm like, "Oh, this is delicious." So I'm excited to get this one. Blueberry Muffins, request the Greenstone Blueberry Muffins at your local dispensary.
